A small request
Thank you all for making the FotoTriennale.dk 2009 and Meeting Place possible and a fantastic event. We hope you have had a good time. We will return in 2012 and look forward to meeting you again.
As we didn't have a photographer to document the event we would love to receive a cd'rom with your happy snaps from the Meeting Place days (reviewing, exhibition openings, speaches, bus touring, dinners and other situations that made the days special). Please share your impressions with us.
With very warm regards Museet for Fotokunst

Fototriennale.dk Prisen (Award)
On October 1st Fototriennale.dk opened exhibitions all around Funen. During the weekend (2. - 4. October) Museet for Fotokunst has hosted Meeting Place in the Auditorium at Brandts, where 27 international experts have judged 82 photographers portfolios. Among those they found one photographer whose portfolio stood out from the others.
"De Tiltenberg"
The photographer Lucia Ganieva had been admitted access to the pastor seminar De Tiltenberg in 2007. Through photos and conversations she studied what it is like to live two completely different lives, as partly a future priest, partly as a citizen of the Dutch community. The photographs were Lucia Ganievas final project from Foto Academie Amsterdam.
Lucia Ganieva is 41 years old, born in Russia, but has been living in the Netherlands since 1993. Some copies of the photo book “Tiltenberg” are at sale at Brandts Shop.
Exhibition in 2012
Apart from the cheque on 15.000 DKK Lucia Ganieva has also been offered to show her photography in Museet for Fotokunsts periodical KATALOG, as well as the opportunity to exhibit in connection to Fototriennalen.dk in 2012.
Fototriennale.dk Prisen
Fototriennale.dk Prisen formerly known as Gregers Nielsen Prisen, but with the new name, the award is now more closely connected to Fototriennalen.dk.
It is with financial resources from Nordea-fonden that have made it possible to award the prize. With the resources to Fototriennale.dk Prisen Nordea supports a unique award within photography and is helping acknowledging photography as a medium and an artistic expression.

New name and logo
FotoTriennale.dk is the new name for "Odense Foto Triennale - the Funen Festival of Photography". The name emphasizes the idea of the festival: Photographs, while at the same time it is more idiomatic. Furthermore, we have erased the focus on the city; Odense, since the festival today is very much an event for the entire Funen community. However, the idea is the same with photographic exhibitions all around Funen with one common theme.
In October 2009 Funen will be the background of a large scale photo festival. The coastal cities Assens, Faaborg, Kerteminde, Svendborg and Odense in conjunction with Ringe, will each make room for surprising and thoughtful exhibitions with the theme Landscape.
FotoTriennale.dk shows Danish as well as international contemporary photography and video art, and there will be workshops, debates, panel discussions and artist talks, where the theme will be put into perspective, not just from an artistic point of view but also in comparison to studies of, among other things, climate, science and archeology.
As part of FotoTriennale.dk the popular, international event Meeting Place is being held. Here photographic artists can show their portfolios to invited Danish and international curators, photo editors and museum staff.
The change of name has induced a new logo designed by Mogens Winther at Winther Grafik.
